first social activity

Okay... everyone wish me luck. Today is day 3 off loritabs and I'm slopping on some makeup because in a couple hours I'm headed out for my first social activity since being clean. I'm accompanying my boyfriend to a softball game with a bunch of his coworkers. I actually feel a little worse than I did yesterday but I think it's partially because I've been sitting around feeling bad for myself all day. I'm a little nervous that I'm going to have a panic attack while I'm out but it'll only be a couple hours so I hope I'll be okay...

Your going to be surprised how much you'll like going out clean..not having to worry about how many pills you have or if you will run out or "come down"..When i get clean I'm never in the house.

Going outside helps me a lot too. You know, when I start the whole detox thing, I find myself clock watching a lot. Trying just to get to 1 day, 2 days, etc. Drive me crazy. Getting out helps get your mind off of things, and makes time move faster.

Damnit... I just messed up my makeup by crying. I realized that this is the first time in SIX YEARS that I will be going out without being under the influence of something!! Years ago it was cocaine and recently it was opiates... I am SOOOO excited to be here!!!!

As I've mentioned before this afternoon, in 17 minutes I'm taking my golden out to play, then out for a nice ride...I can't wait to get out..music, etc.. Not sure I'm ready for a big social engagement..but I can't wait to get out.

I feel you... I am about to leave and I realized that I don't have to bring my purse with me because I won't have to be sneaking pills!!! It sounds so simple... but I'm freakin giddy!!
