this is day 22 off opiates for me. my head ahs been clear for almost the whole time. i think that's b/c i had been trying since early december and with each subsequent relapse used a little less. i sometimes think my subconscious made me do it that way so that it would finally stick. so far, so good. last night i started with the happy feet and took an ambien at almost 1am. i've been like a zombie all day. yuck. i do not like the way i feel and will think twice about taking what i thought of as a harlmless little sleeping aid. the happy feet runs in my family, but with it happening so close to me getting clean, i was afraid of getting mind f*ed by thinking and worrying, b/c i know where that can lead. i hope my feet behave tonight. thanks for listening.  sway

Glad to see you around..girlfriend! I hope this night is better for you. You helped me make it this far and I will always be so grateful to YOU...Gotta get out of here..Grands & myself are camping in the den, mattress, lots of pillows & blankets..We are watching cartoons...Loving it...my baby grandson (51/2) just ask me to come lay back down. He is having fun with cousins, but he is ready to go to sleep and needs his NONNIE...(thats me)LOL Love you Sway...hang in there...

eagle, i have doen some far out stuff on ambien myself, for some reason ambien and benzos make me get naked or drive my car!!!
one time i came to in the bottom of a creek bed, sitting in my car alone naked, another time i came to at a gas station pumping gas into my flat tire
i guess ambien does not help addicts sleep, just helps us make an a$$ out of ourselves

I am told that the ambien made me do wierd things after I went to sleep. I dont remember any............

try magnesium sleep drink or powder from GNC and some melatonin. It has helped me imensly! keep on keepin on. you can do it!

Congrats on 22 days!  I have also been feeling like a zombie today - I think the Seroquel I took last night is lingering or something.  I've actually fallen asleep at my desk a couple of times today.  Wishing you well-behaved feet.....

Maybe call your doc. and ask for a rx. for one of the approved meds. for restless leg syndrome.  If it runs in your family, it may have nothing to do with getting of narcs.  You should check with the pharmacist, but I do not think they are habit forming.

Congrats on day 22 Sway1...i woke up at 3am and couldn't fall asleep...ALMOST took an Ambien...didnt
