frustrated

i'm just so frustrated tonight. i need a meeting and there are no NA meetings going on in my town right now. The club was having one on tuesday nights but the guy who unlocked and was chairing the meeting stared to flake and stopped opening the door. i'm thinking of asking if i can just take over the meeting and chair it my self, but i don't want to be pushy. there is so much support for AA in our small town, but NA just doesn't get taken seriously! OH= WHAT DO I DO.........I NEED A MEETING SOON. i could travel to the other side of the lake to kalispell but thats over an hour away. so i'm just stuck for now with this frustration. than god for this forum it helps so much. god bless, christina

I would ask the person if you could chair the meeting.  The worst he could tell you is no.  Maybe this person would be very glad to have someone take it over........I say go for it!!!!               sara

yea i have been thinking about that for a while, charing the meeting and then maybe some will come along that wants to help with the responsibilty (s?) the funny thing too is when the NA meeting is open there's not that many people there and a lot of times the ones that are there are court orded and it just seems they don't even want to be there, so i makes for an interesting meeting. i truly need to be around other addicts who have a DESIRE to stay clean. yea im gonna check into it this weekend and see if i can get the key and maybe advertise about the tue night meeting a little more. thanks a bunch, christina

That is how a couple of the NA meetings are here too.  Most are court ordered and are just going thru the motions.  They just want someone to sign their sheet saying they had been there.  Interesting is a good word for it!!!!   Hopefully you will get it all set up!!!
