generic or no?

do generic drugs have EXACTLY the same effect as the origional?

is it worth saving some money and buying generic anti depressants at the pharmacy?

I best guess is yes. But the pharmist could tell you for certain.

They are supposed to be the same.  Some people have problems with generics not working or making them sick and it is generally thought to be the different fillers used to make the pills.  It is always worth trying to use generics and then if the don't work, ask for name brand.

The way you can be sure is by checking the active ingredients list on both pills or having the pharamist do it.If they are the same then they are the same.
