It takes approximately 24 hours after you remove the patch before the drug that has been in your subcutaneous tissue is absorbed.  You should judge when to take the Suboxone on your physical withdrawal symptoms.  When you start feeling edgy, diarrhea, sweats, weak, you are entering withdrawal.  I would wait at least 24 hours, but if the symptoms start in sooner, you could try to take it sooner.  The problem with Suboxone if you aren't in mild to moderate withdrawal is that the small amount of naloxone in the drug will put you into withdrawal, and you'll be really sick.  My best advice as a nurse is to call the doctor who gave you the sub and ask.  But if you didn't get it from a doctor, then judge the time to take it based on your physical symptoms.

i would call your dr that gave you the suboxone and ask them .. they would be able to give you the best medical advice you need ... maybe even a pharmacist could answer, not sure though .... dr. would be your best bet .... good luck!!!
peace!
