getting off norco and opana

I am 37 years old and was in a bad car accident 15 years ago which I sustained a closed head injury and finally was diagnosed with RSD in my right foot 3years after the accident.  It's been a long road with alot of ups and downs.  Three years ago we had twins and my pain went through the roof and hasn't stopped even after going to a pain clinic and them putting me on these awful drugs that has only made my life worse.  What do I do first......thxs....

if you're looking to get off of the pills all together, then you're definitely in the right place. this forum has saved a lot of peoples' lives and has really opened the eyes of many who are trying and wanting to get off the pills. do you mind if i ask:  do you want to get off of the pills?

a lot of people start off with the pills because they really do need them. but then, it turns into taking them in order to feel normal. i know that's what happened to me, at least.

the first thing i suggest you do, is talk to your doctor. and if you don't want to do that, then you need to decide as to whether or not you wish to go cold turkey [CT] or taper with the pills. it all depends on the person on which route they wish to choose.

if you plan to go CT from the pills, then i would suggest taking time out for you. lots of fluids, lots of hot baths/showers and maybe someone to help you with the twins you have. unfortunately, i don't know your situation well enough to know what's going on, maybe you could elaborate a little more? there are so many awesome people here - all which will be here soon to help!
