getting them off dihydrocodein

my parents have both been on dihydrocodein 11year  they both addicted  they get the highst dose off the doctor and are buying  them or any thing with codein in they  starve rather than be without tablets  they have both lost so much waight  they stopped paying bills and the house is descusting im at my wits end i just dont know what to do they dont even bath   willsome one help thankyou

First off, i want to say how sorry i am that you have to go through this, especially with your parents. I am soooo sorry.
Your parents are gonna need to want this themselves before they stop the pills. They could cut their dose and taper slowly, or c/t. But they really need to see how much this is hurting you!! Do they know how you feel and how much its upsetting you? Have you spoke with them about it?

oh darlin....i also am very sorry you have to go through this too!! no child should ever have to see their parent this way! but....lostdreams it right...they have to want this for themselves b4 they can truly get the help they need! if my parents could have gotten me clean when they wanted me clean i probally woulda never made it to the addiction process....but they had to sit back and wait til i was ready.
