give me a hint

Hi my son is 21 and has been addicted to roxicodne ( he smokes about 10-25 pills a day) it depends. If he fills a pr\erscription its more if he buys them its less,  Ive already reported 3 of the doctors to the DEA. They Closede down 2 of the offices. Some time hes realy bad he does zanax and roxys and he says he rather die then go through withdrawels. Hes tried suboxon through out patient which we all know dosnt work.  The longest 10 days. Hes says hes tired of this life and hes done (which im sure youve heard before) but of course next day hes at it again. I check on him daily and periodicaly to make sure hes still breathing. I know , go to ALONON.  Hes overdosed once before on duladid  when he got out of jail for a dui he was there for 2 month(not long enough)cause he couldnt get his roxys. Hes done detox 4-5 tomes Ive backeracted and marchmentacted him 3x. what next. he tells me everything although I dont believe him cause every word out of hi mouth is a lie but there is some truth to it. Whats the next step? I love my son and dont want to see him hit rock bottom 6 feet under. Help?PS hes also on probation and the probation officer said she cant do anything cause hes prescribed the medication and its legal heh

When he is really ready to be clean then the state run facilities will do just fine, until then, he is 21 and this big problem needs to be HIS problem. Until it is or until he is ready, sadly, nothing will change. I will keep you both in my prayers and keep posting here, everyone here is super nice and very supportive and may be able to offer some better suggestions. God Bless,  Jacky

Thanks for your response Jacky,my funds are drained and your right he has to want this himself. The only rehab I see right now is jail but thats not the answer. I cant afford 15-20,000.00 a month for rehab its crazy. He thinks hes too good for the state run facilitys cause he thinks hes above everyone else. Big Problem

Perhaps you and your son could discuss his problem honestly with his probation officer and/or doctor and get some recommendations for inpatient rehab. All of you need to be on the same page and until everyone is, nothing will change. He really needs to want this and if he does than you all should be thinking about rehab for him as it seems nothing else has helped. If he really wants this than he has to take control of his recovery and inform the prescribing doctor immediatley and you could be there for support. Maybe you could bring him to this site for some support too. Best of luck to both of you and im sure you will get some more responses soon that may be of more help. You will be in my prayers. Luv, Jacky
