yes it sure has caused me alot of stress. And Im still wondering whats going to happen. And if he does give me a script, Im wondering if I can fill it with my insurance or if that will get me in worse "trouble". Getting the doctor to give me a new RX is only half the battle. Im going to be horrified to try and fill it, not knowing if the insurance company will say NO they wont fill it and then Im back to square one-- suffering in pain and having no break thrus to take.  So if I do get the RX, I will be debating if I should fill it with insurance or pay out of pcoket or what. I know if I try to pay out of pocket, that will look even worse and make it seem like i AM doing something wrong. ::sigh:: Im so confused and nervous. Anyhow thanks for your support.

Since you're doing nothing wrong, I'd act that way. Do everything as you have normally done. If you encounter a problem, then you can address it.

All the insurance co. can do is not PAY for it.  They can't tell the pharm not to fill it.  And if I had to guess, they probably won't pay for it.

Good luck.  Bad problem.  Let us know what happens.

Well Im back from my appt . It went well. As soon as i went back, the nurse told me that the whole situation on their end is resolved. They got ahold of the clinic and found out that all those other "mystery doctors" were indeed with the same practice and that I had not doctor shopped. He gave me a new script for my vicodin and he was very nice about everything. I then filled it using my insurance with no problems as well. I feel so beyond relieved and feel like a 100 ton weight has been lifted from my chest. That was a scary week. I admit Im a very flighty, nervous, possibly even slightly paranoid person but I honestly didnt know if it would get straightened out or not.
btw he told me to go to pain clinic next week and get things straight with them as well, ask them if they are going to continue giving me darvocet or not, and whatever they decide he said get it in writing and bring it to him at my next appt and he will take care of ALL my pain meds completely.

I want to thank everyone here for your advice and support. If you dont mind Id like to stick around here because I do feel for everyone here. Even though I dont take my meds to get high, I am nevertheless dependant upon them to function and get through the daily pain and like it or not Im dependant. Id like to help anyone I can with any medical advice or just be a friend to anyone who needs it.
Thanks Again.

Yay for you!  I'm so glad it all went ok.

I hope this is the end of it from your insurance co.  Be careful!  Document everything.
