half life of suboxone

half life of suboxone

What is the half life of suboxone?

More specifically..............if suboxone blocks the effects of other opiates...how long does it block it for?  A day? 2 days?  What?

actually im researching online.............and from what i gather....3 days is the most.  it's up to 3 days.  and that's if u are takin a high dose, daily, of it.

but, u know....humans input the info online...so that could be wrong. and every site says something a little different.

Here's the deal on half life and Suboxone --- it is from 37 to 72 hours -(depending on which lab tested it) ----  Now, what does that mean for us?  Glad you asked.  The first 37 hours - half of the drug is excreted in Urine and feces.  Then over the next 37 hours half of what is left in the body is excreted.  Then in another 37 hours, half of what is left (1/8) is excreted and so on.  It takes approximately 4 to 5 days for you not to have any blocking action from the Sub.  Hope this helps --- the reason for all the different results is the testing is done by different labs and then posted by different 'authorities' on the web.  All the best.

the half life of suboxone is 37 hrs. that is the average...it will block other opiates effects if you have taken it for more than 3weeks for at least 5-7 days..after long term use 4 + months it will block all the positive effects from all other opaites for right around a week maybe a little longer..i was on 32mgs the highest effective dose of suboxone for over 8 months and tried taking very potent opiates and that is the data i found out...if you have only taken it for a short time less than a couple of wees then it will have less of a blockade effect.-christos

Half like of Bupe is 20-70 hours with a mean average of 35-37 hours. That's if you take ONE dose. the problem is that most Sub users have been using every day. So, the dose they took 2 days ago is still clearing, the dose from 3 days ago is clearing, etc. So, to get ALL Bupe out of the system  could take 7 days or more. Also, just as a FYI...a nominal 8mg dose of Bupe will block 80 percent of the opiod receptors in the brain. That number comes down to 20 percent at 2mg. That very blocking effect is why it is so dangerous to take traditional opiates with Sub.
