has anyone experienced this???

good morning, wanted to know if anyone has had rapid heartbeat while w/ding. i had it real bad last night and being the hypochondriac i am i sent myself into full blown panic attack because of it, i have been monitoring my blood pressure, and it it usually good, then of course, when stress hits it goes up, i know thats normal, but since i started tapering again yesterday i noticed my heart was just racing....i will ask Dr of course but they dont know w/d symptoms like you all do!! had a long night, blew taper with 1 extra pill, had to come clean about that, no excuses i just screwed up again! in my mind my racing heart was the perfect excuse at the time, now i know i was playing a game with myself. anyway, hope someone can help.

My body feels exhausted but it wont let me rest.I feel better when I'm moving all of the time.I'm n ot sure if that is related to increased heartrate.

I experienced something like you have while I was taking Norco.I had a really bad headache and the only thing that helps is excedrin.I took 2 one night after the norco. My heart was racing and I had a major panic attack, was up all night thinking I was going to die.Thinking my 9 year old son would find me dead in the morning.I think that was my rock bottom. That night I took a hot bath and drank one of those bedtime teas.It really calmed me down. You might try that.

I have the same problem, my blood pressure is normal, but my pulse was at 99 beats per minute last night, & I was told that drinking lots of water lowers your pulse? I also have high, high anxiety, which causes me to sweat bad, not a pretty sight. But like sadinmichigan said, it takes time for our bodies to reajust.   Penelope

I don't know if it is safe to take clonodine while pregnant, talk to your dr.  It is entirely normal to feel your heart racing.  The pain killers slow down our hearts so when you come off of them you will feel like your heart is racing.

That seems to be very normal..My heart would race out of my chest..sometimes even hard to catch a breath..I also suffer from anxiety so that doesn't help..And nothing specific triggers it..I am on day 41 now and it seems the heart rate thing has slowed down a bit..your body has to get itself re-adjusted from years of drug use..it usually doesn't happen overnight (getting hooked on drugs) so it's going to take time for our bodies to get to a before drug state..xo Lisa

Yes, very normal and I think keeping busy and moving around helps. Bedtime was the worst time for me.

Yes it's very common. Ask your doctor for some Clonodine.  It's a blood pressure med that really helps with withdrawal symptoms. Also try getting out and take a walk, I found this helped my anxiety attacks. Hang in there.

I had that when I was WD I think its actually pretty common, but I totally understand about the panic attack, I did the same thing I would lay there and think oh god somethings wrong and get myself all freaked out, just when it happens take some long slow deep breaths and get up and do something even if its in the middle of the night don't lay there it will just make it worse for ya, odds are you are probably not sleeping very well either so just try to occupy your mind with something else when it happens.
