ok i have been on here before and said i wanted to get clean truth is i do but everytime i see a opiate i cave. i have been back on them for about 3 weeks tremadol less then a week and the worst part is ive got hooked on sleeping with Ambien which ive been on for about 2 weeks maybe a lil less. i have no Loratabs left, my dad has one left and if he notices im taking them he has threatened to call the FEDS on me so im not sure what to do i need to get through my tonsilectemy 2mmorow and i mean the doctor even prescribed me a hugee bottle of hydrocodone liquid to take for pain which shouldnt become an addction because my mother is taking it and hiding it and she is giving out doses to me i am not sure what to do i have 2 ambien 10mg left and its been less then 12 hrs since my last loratab and i already feel restless please heeelp

im a bit confused. are you looking to get clean or are you just waiting to score? i apologize for my confussion but it kind of sounds like youre looking for anyway to get your hands on some opiates...

but if youre looking to get clean this seems like a perfect opportunity being that you have the support of your parents. so it sounds to me like you need to just grin and bare it through the withdrawals and after recovering from the tonsilectomy start aftercare. (na,aa, counseling...). sorry again for the confusion.

Take a hot bath or shower,eat bananas,take imodium (immodium).Look in the health pages here and you will find out all kinds of info.Read as many posts as you can to see what worked for other people.Drink lots of water and try to move around as much as you can.Not sure about the sleeping pills.Hope I helped some.

I am sorry to tell you this, but just because your mom is giving you the hydrocodone, it doesn't mean you are not addicted. Tramadol, Lortab, and Hydrocodone are all pretty much the same,Opiates. Tramadol is a synthetic drug that is not technically an opiate, but it works just the same. If you are experiencing withdrawal with one, you will with all of them.
Get through your surgery, and get help. When you get to a point of stealing pills and lying - you are an addict.  How long have you been using??
If it is not too long, you have a good chance of getting your life together.Opiates are the hardest drug to get off of, do it ASAP!!!

ive been on them for about 3 years on and off i know im addict thats why im glad my mom is gonan hide my hydrocodone so i cant get ino like i would want too

That is good you have someone to help, but if you really wanted it,you would find a way.Like I said, once you are done with surgery, get help- This is no way to spend your life, you are young and have a chance to beat it!

i hate to be so blunt but until youre willing to stop looking to score and you eliminate the opiates thatyou have whether its tramadol or liquid hydro you are not doing what you need to to get clean. i had my tonsils removed 6 months ago and did not need any pain relievers. just liquid extra strength  motrin. but if you really want off you wont make excuses to use anymore and you rip apart the house to find a pill or consider stealing from a loved on. when you are truely ready you will be totally fed up with the "hunt" and the all around poor quality of life. i know not eveyone is the same but there are much more painful situations than a tonsilectomy that people go through including those with chronic pain that do not turn to opiates. but when youre ready to be done with it all we will be hereto help you through it, but you have to truely want and believe in your sobriety and from what you have posted you just dont seem to be at that point yet. we all have different levels of rock bottom and i dont know what yours is. i hope you have that enlightenment in the very near future and if you are really ready.... dont search for drugs, dont take that hydro unless you are dying in pain and then have your mom flush it after 48 hours after the surgery because that is the period of time where you might feel minor discomfort. also avoid dairy after the surgery as it will make you uncomfortable-this includes ice cream. go with popsicles. but anyway. i may be way wrong about your wanting to be sober but you sound like i did and it tok another six months before i really was ready....good luck.
