Well it's been a while, but I'm doing good on my reduction.I'm pretty close to being drug free very soon ,all the advice has been great thanks
Follow the Thomas recipe and stay very well hydrated. You really need to do it very, very slowly. It's going to take a while so be patient. Make sure you stabilize completely with each dose you drop.
Well its been a good month now since my last post ,I'm finally signed up to a drug program but only coz I've pushed hard for it.i start next week so keep u informed, thanks for all the ongoing help,David

Hi...well I hope you get help soon fentynal is a real mother fer to come off off we have several members who have done it a slow taper is best keep us posted and dont use the diasapam it has its own vises to get off of it is ez to become cross addicted trading one drug for another keep posting for support and always remember it is not hopeless where here to help..........Gnarly
Well back from the GP,been put back on the 100s and Dr is referring me to drug&alcohol clinic but knowing uk health this could take ages,if I took illegal drugs or an alcoholic and had the same problems they would be throwing help at me left right and centre.but that's the uk. They have gave me some diazepam which I'm not to happy about. Its just pass you on to someone else, ill keep you all informed.
Glad you did that. A doctor supervised taper is the only way. Good luck and lkeep us updated.
Has your doctor told you his plan? A very long, slow taper is best. I came off by myself and didn't taper and it was rough. I also came off several meds at the same time and had underlying health issues so it was a little rough for me. Staying hydrated was my biggest challenge. Drink its of fluids, Popsicles, fruits with a high water content. I was dependent versus addicted so I didn't need any aftercare but if you're addicted, an aftercare program is essential.
Has your doctor told you his plan for tapering you down?
Update,I am having to visit my GP today the last 3 days have been hell, surely they must offer some proper program because what I've been going through cannot be felt with alone.
Thanks for the advice so far I've found out more than from my Dr
You need to taper slowwwww. Literally drop once each month or 2.
Hi Dnuk Welcome to the forum..Well you came to the right place looking for advice coming off drugs, we have a lot of tips on how to get thru the wd (withdraw) did the Dr. say by how much they would be lowering your dose and how long they will taper you for ? This info would be helpful.. You will feel symptoms as they lower your dose the best tapers are long and slow getting use to the last dose before dropping again so the wd are not as acute. Other fent users that have gotten off it will chime in I'm sure and give you approximate duration of wd I can say that you will feel so much better off as will your body bloating the uncomfortable feeling when it gets close to changing all this goes as your normal body functions right themselves.. Yes it is well worth the pain of coming off. I just wanted to welcome you and add my support In that you can do this and we will be here to support you. lesa
