hi kleo, neurontin may help, are you prescribed it by your doctor? beware of taking anything you are not prescribed.  have you tried ibuprofen or another over the counter pain reliever?  hot baths work wonders as well.  i hope this helps, congrats on day 2 sending hugs and prayers love emma xxx

They are not prescribed I took a few from my father. The bath works but when I get out they hurt again.I tried over the counter and nothing worked.I feel like I can't get comfortable. My arms are hurting too and back is sore,I know it is only going to get worse

It is probably going to get a little worse,BUT it's not going to last forever and by tomorrow you will be almost to the half way mark of feeling a bit better.Don't worry about that right now anyway.Concentrate on getting through today, worry about tomorrow when it gets here. The RLS was the hardest part for me during w/ds.Exercise helps alot.Hot baths as many as you can take. The thing that worked best for me is this.I would get a hot bath, rub my legs down with a mentholated muscle rub, then I would wrap them tight, but not too tight with ace bandages, and then use the heating pads.I know it might sound weird but doing this brought me so much relief that I could actually get some rest.I used 800 mg motrin for my back pain and the heating pad.The pain will start to lessen up soon.Hang in there...All the best...Kim

Kim is right. Exercise helped me a lot. It was hard to make myself get up and do anything but it worked. Stick with the over the counter stuff. I took so many hot showrs and bath I thought my skin was going to fall off. Mine lasted about 4 day maybe 5.
It will pass.

Hang in there! We are all pulling for you. You will make it. Heating pads helped to relax me a little. As you know I just started suboxone but I am having really bad leg cramps too. Not as bad as c/t but still  very uncomfortable. Try 800mg ibuprfren. Tylenol works better for me.  Excercise and heat....you'll be ok!

Congrats on getting this far!!  I did the same thing as Kim...When my legs were still hot from the bath i wrapped them also, just my calves...Then after bandages i wrapped with the heating pad...As far as the arms, I just rubbed them down with a bengay type cream...The RLS was the worst for me also...
I also took zanaflex and that helped tremdously, but has to be prescribed....Good luck and keep going...You can do this!!!

Thanks so much for the support and advice.I am doing this cold turkey alone.I told hubby I have the flu.He works nights so I have to take care of my two boys alone. One is 17 and one is 7.The 7 year old is very active and demands attention. He is not the type of child who you can put a movie in and relax. He is on the move from the time he gets up until the time he goes to bed.My husband wakes up when we go to bed. Most of my friends use too so I have no one to help with my kids.My parents can help some but not much,my father had a stroke and my mother pretty much has her hands full.So I am screwed. The only thing that really scares me is when I have to drive them home from school. My husband drives them to school when he gets home from work and I pick them up.How the heck am I going to drive after not sleeping for a few nights and with the body pain?It scares the **** out of me.I just feel so hopeless and in pain.I have no ace bandages here but will try and get some.I used icy hot sleeves once and that helped some but not enough to let me sleep.I have flexeral,ativan,1 xanax,3 neurontin 2 bottles of Imodium (immodium). So far I have only used 1 mg of xanax last night and 1 .5 mg ativan.Still feel awful and no energy.

Try heating pads / electric blankets for your legs...calcium/magnesium supplements....a shot of stron coffee/espresso will get you to school and back with few after effects.... breathing exercises help always...as do tai chi and cho gong....libraries have dvd's of hese things....use ibuprophen 800mg for body aches.................you can do this - many here have and will be available for you for support and just to vent - - -   stay strong...and good luck ....
