Hey Trisha! Oh man, if I only knew how possible it was to kick opiates, I would have done it SO much sooner. I had a crippiling addiction to Norco (it's vicodin but triple the narcotic and less of the acetominophen). I was up to 20 - 25 pills per day, and was stuck in pill bondage for months, and wouldn't quit because I was so afraid of the withdrawls. Let me just tell you, it is about a good 4 days of complete hell, but it isn't impossible to do. A lot of folks here have quit after 20 -30 YEARS of use, and have amazing story's of success. If you can put your mind to it, stick it out, YOU CAN DO IT. I've been clean for 6 days now, I'm over the worst of it and am so glad I finally had the courage to quit. If you are like me, your just taking those pills to "feel normal", pretty much all you get after taking a few is about 10 minutes of euphoria and 50 minutes of aggitation. Then the next vicious cycle (hour) starts again. Well let me tell you, quitting those little devils, took all that aggitation away, and my life is so much more richer. Don't be afraid to confess what you have been doing. You are going to need as much support as possible. When I made the decision to quit, I told my friends and family with so much fear of ashament and judgement, but instead found so much sympathy and support. It really surprised me!!! And the sobriety really suprised me, it's such a better life. I wish you luck Girl, you CAN do it! :)
