high potassium levels

hey everybody! i hope all is well, i have a question for the nurses or medical professionals on here. if you crush or even take a whole lorecet 10 will it increase the levels of potassium in your body? BTW, i'm on a taper and my sister is holding the pills and BELIEVE ME she won't budge if i ask for more. she is my big sister so she is helping me. i CANNOT go through the cold turkey depression/anxiety again, i won't make it.

The lorcet itself will not increase potassium levels.  But, that said, If you have any kind of kidney impairment (and that includes damage from alcohol or drugs) or liver impairment, your body will have a harder time metabolizing the medication and can start a cascade effect that may lead to increased levels.  Wow-sorry hopefully that makes sense?  Basically, if your kidneys and liver are still ok, you will be fine.
