home from rehab 50 clean days

Wellmy names james i was a Heroin addict for 14 yrs tried to stop  but never could then i went to rehab and at times a wanted to give up But i knew if i did not do it in rehab a was killing mysel.Xmas eve was so hard but i stuck with it i knew i had to. Anyway its the hardest cold turkey av ever done and my last one Now when i wake i smile coz am still here and everyday i stay clean the better i feel. I have bad days but when that happens aget busy for me its forward no going back.I learned a lot in rehab but nowi i to apply the tools i learned tanks for lisening,,,,,James ps am happy am free and getting onwith my life thanks for the notes guys they were a great source of encouragement happy appy days ,,,,,,,,James

hey james and kim,
it is so great to hear you are home and 50 days free. i have been wondering about you and continuing to pray for you. i don't want to say i was worried when i  hadn't seen a post since christmas. i hope you gave some thought to trying to attend a church. the Lord is really able to help you be kept clean. i believe that addiction is a spiritual bondage. what would it hurt to try a different approach  to staying clean?

James, it sure seems like rehab was the right decision.  Congrats on your 50 days!  Remember....it's not easy to get through each day.  Some are better than others, but you can do it!

Good job James. See being clean isnt so bad after all. Im enjoying my 32 days and am feeling better each and everyday. Knowing everyday isnt gonna be great makes those down days easier. Congrats on 50 days.!

Congratulations James !! You did it !! 50 days !! Whoo Hooo I'm so Proud for you :) You are stronger then what you thought James. Rehab is hard and over the Holidays being separated from family.. You proved your resolve ! I hope they have aftercare of some form set up for you and you will continue to work out the demons of your past.. But from what your note said you are working your present in a fantastic way ! I want to thank everyone for their notes. I still have to go down to the rehab 5 days a week for counselling about my past and get drug tested. I have never failed one for the whole time i was there, and passed another today. Thats a first for me. The hardest part wasbeing awayfrom my familybut it was worth all the pain. Thanks Letakos for the congrats. I will give Caroline a big hug from you. We send our love to you also. James

It feels good to past those test !! :) and I'm so glad you are still receiving counseling james.. it will not always be easy but it is easier then being a active addict.. I have not the words for the Joy I feel for you and yours !
