how do you forget about drugs?

It seems like all I think about is heroin heroin HEROIN! I watch documentarys on it all day long and even if I'm not watching one then I'm thinking about it, but the weird thing is I'm not thinking of using?

ive been clean for nine months and i sometimes still  ahve dreams where im using in my dreams.it just cuz our addiction is still active and even though we r not using its just cuz we r addicts.we will be addict till the day we die we just have to be strong and have faith in a higher power that we wont act on our addiction.i hope u the best and god bless.

Do you think you may be thinking about it because you are watching documentaries on it? That's a little creepy don't you think? I know it would make me crazier than I am.

Hun, you need to get busy. Keep yourself occupied. Visit friends (who are clean). Read. Watch a good old movie. Clean your house. Volunteer. Go for a walk. Join a support group. There is a mental battle going on with you right now and if you don't get it under control I fear what you may do.

As  a heroin addict clean for 6 months my wife has been clean for a year. Today 6 months after last using heroin i staarted to crave heroin all day. After using for 13 years it came out the blue but what triggered it was seeing a roll of tin foil . So craving never goes away but i can tell you that it gets longer in between Cravings the longer you have been clean.So thats all it is craving the drug i loved and you loved for so long.Long for me anyway. Dont watch anything to do with drugs documentarys and so onThats the reason you cant stop thinking about heroin I wish you the best of luck ,,,,,,James
