how long to get off 15mls of methadone

ive reduced my self to 15 mls and just the last hurdle to go,does any one know how long the withdrawals will last if i cut myself off.

agree...length of use makes alot of diff..if u have been on it for a long time..like a year or more..ct will be hard...there is an article in the health pages on tapering from methadone//a personal experience..check it out...it may be better to taper on down a bit...but everyone's goals r different..good luck to u

How much were you on to taper down from and how long were you on it?  That might have some influence. I hate to tell you this - but we tell the truth here......worst case scenario the withdrawals from the 15mg would be the same as a previous dose of 30 or 40 mg.  Anywhere from a week or two up to and including a month and even better.  You have to taper methadone very far down to escape withdrawals.  There is very good information the Health Pages of medhelp..... and lots of folks here have experience with the stuff ..............  check some recent posts by a screen handle of BaronVonMunchausen .........................

How long have you been on it? I jumped off at 25 mgs,it took me about 6 weeks.
