how many potassium gluconate tabs do you do during withdrawasl

This thing withe the absolute no sleep is getting the best of me now. Would adding magnesium help as well. I take xanax 1.0 and ambien 10 and still nothing. this combo used to let me sleep for about 9 hours. I can't take the no sleep. I've just taken a benedryl but hope it won't dry out my sinus headache that I already have. I am 39 hours clean from the lortab. Just to have hubby's friend get a prescription that he doesn't want. I am holding off on this. Felt like I've come this far. Just don't want the restless legs tonight. Should I take another potasium do you think? How many can I have? Are the potasiums to help sleep or give energy? Please help me with ideas to sleep. I can't think that any of us can properly heal with out any sleep.

Hi... yeah, lack of sleep is really a problem during the first days and even weeks in some cases. Those mineral supplements can help with muscle aches and RLS ... i would take the adviced dose of potassium ... Can you go for a long walk in the evenings before going to bed ? take a hot bath afterwards and you could also try Hylands calm forté ( it has natural ingredients that doesn't interact with other meds you might be taking) ... Good luck :)

Hey, the supplements don't really put you to sleep.  They more or less treat the symptoms that may be keeping you awake.  I would add the Cal-Mag-Zinc supplement.  That helped me more than anything.  The potassium is for leg cramps and RLS.

You may have trouble sleeping for a while.  Try to get up and find something to do.  The xanax and ambien are only going to cause more problems down the road if you take them for too long.  If they aren't helping anyway, why take them, right?

Best of luck!  Don't give up! : )
