Dr's cant really do much other to to say stop taking them. If you have been taking massive amounts then you may want to go to a medical detox center. Post what you have been using and the amounts to get some feedback here.

It's  a personal decision to get clean that you have to make. Then you will face what we all did. The withdrawals. They are tough and you will need to plan your detox and use a support system locally or here at MH. This site has a terrific support group.

Let us know if you want more help and we will gladly help you.

Welcome to the forum. Are you getting them from your dr? How many are you taking a day? There are many here addicted to hydro's and went to their dr for help. Anything else you can share, so we can help?

No,it's not against the law. It's great that you want help. What do you take? For how long?   There are doctors who are addiction specialists.  The only time they might call authorities would be if they deem you a harm to yourself, others,or your children. Otherwise, your visit is confidential.
