Good for you for not using for 6 days!  I would say, go to the NA meeting...those people have incredible information and are non-judgmental and happy to share! Good luck!

Hi Je77
Honestly you had spent 3 or 4 years of pumping Vics in.. Your body is not going to clear up right away.. Day 6 is awesome as you have made it past the worst.. Now the annoying.. It takes at least 2 weeks to get rid of the irritable's after that it is a mental battle.. Life is easier clean and I hope yours becomes so... Take care.... lesa

you probably are through the worst of the physical, the mental part is rough for some. It definitely was for me, my length of use was about the same as yours. You're on the right track searching for meetings, and stay on here and post. Its helped me so much!! Congrats and keep posting! -Panda :)

You can do this!  You can. Some days will be better than others but take one day at a time. You are already 6 days into now. You don't want to have to start over on day one again. I'ts worth it. Your'e worth it and your family is worth it. Once you get over the hump you can start enjoying normal things again without distraction, and rebuild your relationships. Your family must love you to accept your addiction and support you. Now is the time to cling to those who love you. It's not easy to find someone who truly loves you enough to go through this. I know because my husband also has an addiction. I have lived the past several years with a person who is distracted and not involved with the family. I'ts very hard to believe anymore. It's hard to believe in him and wonder all the time if today will be the day he will use again and there goes my life... again. Every time he leaves I wonder where he is going, and if he will once again take our family for granted. Do it for your health, your family, the rest of your life. Too late most of us figure out what's most important to us , and by that time.. it's gone!  Good Luck to you! Don't give up!  Be proud of how far you've already come!
