hydrocodone W/D

Its my 3rd day off hydrocodone!! I quit cold turkey...i just decided one day that i will never know if i could defeat it unless i try!!! Withdrawals weren't as terrible as some because i didnt take a really high dosage i was taking three 500 mg a day.... but i had been on that routine for two years...in the beginning i took oxycodone 10s but i gradually reduced it to the hydrocodone 5s....anyways ive been feeling better physically today the hot showers and home remedies have done wonders... although the depression and hopelessness hasn't gone away when will this be gone...

Hi there and congrats on you success so far.  You're really doing great and for the right reasons too; your little girl.

All great info above, just wanted to give my support.  Day 5 was a real turning point for me so hang in.  I think soon after that I got the "pink cloud" mindset....which I loved because you just feel all in such a positive new way. ......but don't be fooled as this won't last for most, but don't worry about that for now, just think about your "pink cloud" coming.

much prayers and hope
hugs xo

Congrats & great job.  Day 6 for me & i'm in a similar boat as you.  Physically I'm ok but the mental issue are still around like yours.

Day 5, yesterday for me was a pretty good turning point for me but I just got done playing racquetball for the 1st time since quitting & noticing now, after serious physical exertion is when i miss it the most in the 6 days. I gobbled up a couple aleve's & hope it helps (I have bad knees & back) but need to get the toxins out somehow i guess.

Keep checking back, i have found this site to be very helpful.

Great Job.  Make sure to flush any remaining pills, confess to your doctors and call the pharmicies to never fill any narcotics.  I know it's a big step, but it will be a huge weight lifted off your shoulders.  Burn all illegal sources as well if that applies.  Stop it at any and EVERY source you can.  Great job!

Congratulations on quitting! Everyone is different but after about 5-7 days you should start to feel better....every day you will feel better than the last!
Try to stay busy and keep your mind off of it. Go outside take short walks, listen to music and thing to keep your mind off the pills helps!
Wishing you the best of luck and stay on this site it helped me so much there are some amazing people on here!
