hydrocodone

by rene21719, Jul 08, 2007 10:21PM
i found some old hydrocodones in my medicine cabinet from prior surgeries...one is the yellow oval 325mg-10mg and the others are the round white ones 300mg-60mg ...I suffer from degenerative arthritis in my lower back and would like to occasionally take one of these when in severe pain, however i can't remember which is stronger and i don't wan't to take the higher dose...what is stronger hydrocodone 300mg-60mg or 325mg-10mg?

How about not wondering exactly what they are but flush them down the toilet and get away from pills.......
arthritis conditions should be treated with arthritis meds not pain pills that will certainly cause addiction.......
You will only compound the problem arthritis and addiction why would you want to do that........

is the tylonol with codine stronger? i know the other is a hydrocodone..and i can't take mobic and other arthritis meds because of my heart condition.  anyway, i would only take them occasionally as you can see i took them so seldomly that they've been sitting in a cabinet so long i forget which is which. thanks for the concern though, but i don't need to defend myself...just would like an answer if one can be provided. thanks!

I understand that some people have other health conditions that prevent them from taking "athritis" medicine, whatever that it.

I would check with your doctor and ask if its ok to take the hydrocodone or not.  First, however, it may be a good idea to ask if ther is a non narcotic medicine you could get on for the pain.  hydrocodoe is more of a last resort medicine, even if it isn't the strongest of the opiates.

Good luck hun
