Well, first, if you really want to quit, you are gonna have to go through the withdrawals, which are no picnic but it's so worth it if you really want to be clean. And your pregnant.. think of your unborn baby and the damage that you are doing not only to the baby but to yourself. There are so many encouraging stories on here. I'm only on day 3 1/2..and it's been hell but I'm doing it. This forum has given me so much hope that I can do it..and YOU CAN TOO!! Quit going to your doctor.. what kind of doc would give oc's to a pregnant woman anyways, he doesnt care about your health, he just cares about money. Get clean for yourself and for your baby hun, you will feel so much better about yourself. From what I have read, after 3 days of withdrawals, you will start to feel better. And between 5-7 days you will have some energy and start thinking clearer. Think about it...a week of withdrawals is hell... but a lifetime of being on this devil pill is a far worse hell. Good luck to you, I hope you can do it!!

Well, you def need to quit if you are pregnant. But, chances are the baby is ok. But you need to stop. Am I reading this right, you are addicted to 8 80's a day? So that is 640mgs a day of oxy contin? You take the little green pills that say 80 on them right. I want to be sure. That is a pretty heavy addiction. I was almost double that a day. Yes, double...its a wonder I am here to tell people that. Anyway, it going to be hard, but it can be done. Do you have support at home? How about a family dr you can talk to?

you should taper as low as you can possibly go down on the oxys and then go into a  medically supervised detox and start suboxone treatment...it will be very effective for your addiction...it will curb all the physical wds symptoms and most of the cravings

Whew, okay...I was worried about you being pregnant but its your wife. First thing you need to do is seriously cut off all ties with your connections. I actually called mine early this morning and  told them not to call me because me and my hubby are in the process of getting clean. I understand completely. Opiates are the flippin devil. They have controlled my life for 5 years. Do you have a family doctor that you can talk to? I can tell you, from reading on here that the worst of the withdrawals will be over in 5-7 days. That is nothing. Doesnt it seem like Christmas and New Years were yesterday? Times flies so fast and I know it will feel like forever but it wont be. I'm on day 3 1/2 and I'm feeling a little better. I'm actually out of bed for the first time in 3 days. I can't say I feel great, but everyday is getting easier. You can do this, think of your wife and unborn child..think of all the great things you can buy for your baby and just know that YOU CAN DO IT!!! Keep reading stories on here, this forum has seriously changed my outlook on being able to do this. Good luck to you.
