Welcome to the forum.  Know that the pain will stop soon. By day 5 you should start to take a turn for the better.
Have you been drinking enough fluids? And eating alittle something? If you're short on fluids, that can really cause all kinds of problems and pain. Maybe get some  Boost with protein.  There is no miracle cure for withdrawels, just remember it will pass.
Do not relapse. You don't want to do that. Keep posting

I remember very well my exact most painful days.  They were day 7, 8, 16 & 17.  After that, no more.

I accidentally bought a jar of cool menthol rub.  I thought I was buying a heat rub.  Anyway I decided to try it and it worked better for the pain.

I had pain everywhere.  So what I did was put the menthol rub onto paper towels then placed them in the painful areas.  Example:  Shoulders.....paper towel on each side & a T Shirt helps made it stick.  Sorta like those expensive heat patches.

If you are not taking any anti depressants the supplements DLPA and also Sam-e help naturally with pain perception, DLPA actually rebuids the pain receptors from the damage that taking opiates has done.  I would take one of the other, one works for some people and the other works better for others.  Sam-e can help with depression, sleep and appetite as well.

Well dear, the good news is it will pass...although it's hard to say just how long it will take.  This pain you're referring to is actually not false pain at all, as pain is a perception, but I know what you mean.  It typically gets most people centrally, that is close to the spine, in the back.  I used a heating pad to lay on, and took ibuprofen.  I can't say as the ibuprofen actually helped, but the heating pad did help a bit, and served as a wonderful distraction.  I hope you're feeling better soon....hang in there.

Aw... that reminds me of something member CATUF posted to me one time... He was the one that planted the "amino" seed for me.. and then I ran with it.. and researched the hell out of it. And now I just keep sharing it with the masses.  I hope it helps people like it has helped me. Living like this has truely changed my life.

And I am glad someone appreciated it like yourself.  I wondered if anyone was sick of hearing me talk about it..LOL

I have been tooting this horn since I came here. I have been going to NDs for many years.   Naturopaths are very pro aminos. I have to be careful since I am on Zoloft still. I haven't been able to get off it yet. I just received the book End Your Addiction Now. I have the book Seven Weeks to Sobriety, which has some similar formulations.

Good for you. Keep flushing...no tell whoever is bringing them to not bring them and stop coming unless they plan to support your recovery.

I'm not sure where you hurt but my favorite...the hot bath....many and remember fluids cause this will also dehydrate. Don't use muscle rub with a heating pad or moist heat unless the package says you can. This can cause a serious burn.

Keep reading posts and posting and let the forum help you. You will find your not alone. Feel free to PM me anytime. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.
