My statement was based on the fact that you are not pregnant!
I did the taper method from hydrodcodone pills and it worked for me but you do have some withdrawls longer. If you think you can do it than do it but it is not for everyone! Either way you will have withdrawls. I took them for 6 years and my liver is fine but that may not be the case for everyone. There is a test that they can do and I believe the liver repairs itself very well!! Good luck to you!!
thnks guys. i bought a test n it says im not prego but it may be too soon to tell. but should i just stop taking them im ready to just stop. or if i take one a day or something what do u think?
The first thing you need to do is find out if you are pregnant as this will allow you to know whether you have to taper or if you can go cold turkey. If you are pregnant you must slowly taper off to avoid miscarriage. You will also need to let your doctor know so they can closely monitor you and the baby during your taper. Don't feel ashamed about letting your doctor know about your addiction. They will commend you for coming forward. If you try and do this on your own you will not only be hurting you, but also your baby. You can't get in any trouble for being honest. But if you try and hide it and end up staying on the pills throughout your pregnancy, then child services will step in. If you are honest with your doctor they will know how to plan for when your child is born and you won't have to worry about child services.
So, you really need to find out if you are pregnant so you know your options. Either way, we will help you get sober through support and friendship.
Best of luck!

Victorswifey, you can do this. You have to do this. You want to do the right thing. It is very DO-ABLE. It is not very easy, but it is doable. Find out if you are pregnant!!! Write back. Come back. I am only 55 days clean, but there are many on here who have very good advice and they have a way of getting to the bottom of it all. Get some rest. Get a pregnancy test kit in the morning. hugs, ~Lindsay
Hi Victorswifey and Welcome to the forum. Well but for being Pregnant it would be cut and dry on stopping but seeing how you may be with child I would suggest you speak with a Dr. be honest.. you are consuming a lot of Tylenol and although not good for your liver it is not over the top so to speak.. the liver is not the only major organ that takes a beating in addiction your kidneys and heart also take a whooping.. You may not notice this right now but it also dims are emotions and we take away from our family as we are focused on our pills.. Congrats on finding us and stepping up to the plate and acknowledging you have a problem.. Be honest with your hubby ok this will help to get of this crap and speak Honestly with your Dr. he/she has heard much worse.. take care. lesa
