This drug sounds like a codiene preparation from a country outside the USA. Codeine isn't that hard to detox from but it is addictive and you may feel a little ill for a few days. I would highly suggest that you make this a "phase" and not go on to stronger narcotics so your brain doesn't get hijacked by dope as an adult as happened to me and many others. Because you took it medically and maybe for not that long, it may be easier to leave it behind.

I disagree with mr lucky66's comment about codeine not being "that hard" to detox from. So much depends on your history, what the codeine is mixed with; and what else you are using, other drugs, alcohol.. And your tolerance for withdrawal. Since I am not familiar with your drug or with your history I strongly recommend that you tell your doctor about the over-use of your medication and the hopelessness you feel about your headaches. There are a lot of different treatments for headaches that do not involve narcotics; you could explore some of these options. And you can continue to try to get a better diagnosis with other physicians. Don't give up. Do research on the internet and look to find headache support groups on line.

There is no rush here. Take your time. Speak with your doctor and if he/she can't help find someone else who will. Again if you are not in the States I don't know what your local resources are. It does help to keep posting on this sight, asking questions, and reading past posts.

If you are living at home with your family it is not out of the question to sit down and talk with them about how frustrated you are feeling about your health. Tell them about the drug use being out of control and ask for help. You might be surprised on the support you find there. Or if parents aren't good try relatives, or other people in your life.
Keep in touch with us. There are people here who care and will help.

good, you don't need to ruin your liver to kill a headache. There's alway another way maybe a non drug approach. Once when I was young I had bad daily headaches and got releif from chriopractic.
