I agree that everyone picks there own Recovery!

However, since I almost have 3yrs in, I have picked up so much more info about this Disease and in a more Scientific way. If you try to stay all natural you will heal the brain. These type of meds knock down all the "Feel Good" chems in the Brain. They plug all the receptors in our body too, thus this makes us build the tolerance and need more. The Dopamines have alot to do with why become addicted and the Mid-Brain which will always remember the Pleasure. This Disease takes TONS of working at. We have to change alot of behaviors and learn to live in our own skin. No more running and hiding under a Substance because of what life has thrown at us, or even for the so called Fun of being high at the Party.
TIME, PATIENCE and CHANGES have to be made and YOU can do it at home..Also go and get that outside Support. With your depression issue, I am no DR, but I have experienced the more my Brain healed or fired back up, after being knocked down or whacked out for all these yrs, the better and happier I got. Give it a chance to heal. Yes, the DR can give you comfort meds, but then that just prolongs the Brain from healing back to normal or whatever normal is. There is SO much more to this Disease and it does not happen over night. Stick around..We have TONS of us that have been clean for yrs, and we do stop in now and then. Try going to a meeting as soon as you can. You will learn alot about this disease in them rooms too. Look this disease up in a more Scientific way. This is what keeps me clean today. The detox will be over soon, then the work really begins. I wish you the best.
Drink TONS of water.
Add some packet vit/min to the water.
Get some Electrolyte powder.
Take tons of antioxidants in vit/min or food.
Stay away from caffeine & sugars at first.
Eat very Healthy and take Vit/Min that are plant based.
The best for Anxiety and Sleep are Magnesium, Ds, Calcium and Potassium.
Takes Epsom salt baths, as this has Magnesium in it to help draw the toxins out.
Get to achy, get under a Heating Blanket.
There is so much more...Good Luck..You can do it!!!
Bless

Everyone has to find their own path however just detoxing at home is the least complicated and cheapest option.  Pick a day and do it.  The physical part is over before long.  The first 3-5 days are the crappiest after that you'll feel noticeably better each day.  Getting a decent nights sleep will be very tough at first and that seems to be the last thing to return to normal.

If you can't seem to do it at home then obviously in patient rehab is the way to go.

I agree with Jerry198 except that I don't think you should take it like a, "man/girl", man/woman would probably be better, or failing that boy/girl.

I recommend the kinda cold turkey route first make a detox plan with best date possible get some help from friend or family buy some Gatorade and vitamins stock the house with food then take the last few pills over two days then on jump day just do it and take like a man/girl it will suck for a few days but you will be in better shape in 4-7 days depending on what you were taking just remember you can do it!! stay on the site for support and we will be your detox center..

I have been in a Suboxone treatment program for quite some time and it is something that has to be done right, but be weary of the doctors that don't care and are in it for the money.  Suboxone has saved my life, but I have a chronic pain issue.  When I first started I was told it was for pain, and now that I go to a doctor that takes my insurance (I'm disabled) he says it is not, and I truly don't know what to do either.  He has me on 1 8 mg a day now, and by the end of the day I am hurting so bad that I can't hardly do anything.  I have gained a lot of weight as well, since I am not able to do the things I used to be able to do in the first place.  Good luck and use your mind wisely.  You need to talk to a doctor to see what is best is my opinion.
