Hi and welcome to the forum. There is a way to come off and live a happy, healthy, drug free life.First you have to decide whether you want to taper or go cold turkey.Pick a plan and stick to it,we will all be here to support you. What pills are you taking and how many mgs?

Please keep posting. Yes you can get off the pills! Lots of us have been in your shoes!
If would help us if you would tell us the name of your pills and also if you are drinking as well (that can complicate a withdrawal). There is help on the sight but also think about contacting local drug abuse services; usually they are listed in the front section of the phone books and are free. There might also be mental health crisis telephone numbers to call for help.

You have made an amazingly brave first step by posting your information on this site. It is the first step and you have already made it!! Take some pride in that. Keep in touch with us; there is help!

It is entirely possible to get off pain pills and the benefits are amazing.. we do not realize how much the meds steal from us.. our joy involvement I use to think I was involved once I got clean it floored me how disconnected I was. If you can give a lil more info we would be happy to support you in getting clean I hope you stick around as this is a amazing group and you will receive understanding and support.. welcome to the forum.. lesa
