i'm not judging...but

please believe me...i don't care...did my share back in the day...way back in the day...ok...like 30 something years ago.   OMG...i'm getting freaking old...lol

what i am wondering...is there anyone on this forum who does NOT smoke pot?   it seems i read alot of posts where ppl say they smoke pot.  do you think one can become addicted to pot...say like psychologically?  and do you find yourself smoking more pot to replace the pills?  

just wondering...

I smoke pot and it helps me take less pills,it is very addictive I think. I eel lousy when I quit.  I worry about my lungs I grew up with pot my ather smoked it probably why he had his srokes although he smoked one ater the other.  I ind it helps with pain and boredom.

Dear Mother Lizzie:  I do not smoke weed.  I tried it in my younger days but I didn't like the way it made me feel.  However my son smokes it and his father smoked it.  I believe you can become addicted to it because when my son doesn't have it, he's grouchy and mean and has only one thought on his mind:  finding some weed.
But I am a good girl.  My worst addictions now are coffee and sugar.

I don't. I personally do not want to alter my conciousness with anything. And, many substances can trigger my addiciton and result in me wanting to pick up other drugs (or alcohol). But that's just me.

I'd rather just smoke pot and not take pills . I live inBC canada and there is alot o greeat pot here, I can't understand how anyone could not like it but I smoke mine with some people and they act real stupid, hate that I quess they are not used to it.  I hatre alcohol I think its evil between the two pot won't make you hamburger brain like alcohol does and the detox oi pot won't kill ya like booze and that legal go iqure why you ask.

I had the pot addiction longer then pills I've been smoking pot since 13 years old pills only 5 years pot 22 years.  that will be a hard one to quit I think because I  like it so the pills is a new one . never had pain when I was younger.  getting older sucks but thats the way it goes.

Mom, I have a confession to make.  While I tried weed and really never liked it, I did smoke hash for about 3 years.  I'm an Army brat and my family spent some time overseas and some drugs are really easy to get over there.  This hash was from Turkey and the best way I can describe it is like weed with acid.  But that was in my wild child days and I when we came back to the states, I didn't smoke it anymore.

I don't smoke pot but my girlfriend whom is a real pill freak smokes it when she runs out of pillls.  I think it makes her weird and unattractive!  My Dr saide that pot is not physicaly addictive but mentaly.... if that make sence.   I asked him the other day because my son.

Hey girl....No smokee the wacky weed!  Use to make me paranoid! My hubby was a big pot smoker back in the day!  He every once in a blue moon smokes with his soccer buddies but very rarely. He gets this dumb shiteatin' grin on his face that drives me crazy but it actually does amuse me. I can tell everytime he is high! He is definately not addicted and that is one drug I can honestly say did nothing for me!  Seems like it helps many here....I don't know if it is trading one addiction for another but I still have wine on occasion with my dinner....I don't think that I'm addicted to alcohol....a lot to think about!

used to smoke pot, never really a daily thing but after I had kids - no thanks.  Makes me a bit paranoid.  Would die if one of my darlings needed me and I was high.  I would feel yucky if that happened.  However, I don't think that pot is addictive, but that is just my opinion.  My husband and I did when we dated and he had a lot before me and we both gave it up without an issue.  He smokes on occasions around his brothers or certain friends.  If the kids were away, I probably would b/c it makes me laught a whole bunch, eat even more, and want to have ***.  Im so juvenile not to want to write the word sex.  anyway, for that reason, my hubby would grow it in the backyard with directions posted around the neighborhood if I would on just any night.  LOL LOL

I'm a day late, too, but wanted to add a little story about when I first quit alcohol and painkillers 9 years ago (obviously i've relapsed since then): I decided that i would just have to settle for pot as my new drug o' choice--seemed like a relatively benign habit, and it's not supposed to be physically addicting.

Anyway,  I hadn't smoked in maybe 15 years, and back then what was widely available was this really low grade Colombian and Mexican pot. ANyway, I eventually got a hold of some and man was it expensive! It also looked a lot different--real gooey and green--not dry and brown like the stuff i remembered. I went to see some live music and smoked a bit right b4 the music started. Then WHAMO! I was do darn high I felt like I was on acid or something worse. I became instantly paranoid (I thought i was dancing weird and that everyone was looking at me laughing...LOL!) and could barely stand. An for some reason, every subtle ache and pain in my boday was amplified ten-fold. I was incredibly uncomfortable. After maybe 30 minutes, i had had enough and went to my car and prayed for God to relieve me of the high...but of course I had to wait it out FOR HOURS!--it was excruciating!

Most of the pot these days is soooo strong-especially the stuff folks get around here (northern CA--all of it comes from the "Bread Basket" of Weed--Humboldt County). Anyway..that was the last time i smoked pot...

Smoking pot was not my DOC, it made me want to go and take a nap.  I am not good at the whole inhaling thing, never really caught on to that even when I smoked coke.
I do not smoke anything because I do not want to wreck my singing voice.  I do not need a drug that is going to make me mellow, I want to feel high.

I smoke pot 4-7 times a week.  I quit for 4-5 months with no withdrawals.  I can take it or leave it.  If I have it I smoke it.  If I don't have it, I don't go insane look for more. I ran out of pot 4 weeks ago and haven't had the urge to smoke any since.

Oh, and I've been smoking it since I was in my teens.... Off and on.

I no longer smoke pot. I did all summer long, don't think it did me a darn bit of good in the long run. I don't really think it's addictive, just trading-off, didn't work. I think there was something in alka-seltzer plus cold medicine and robitussin dm in the 80's. Plop plop, fizz, fizz, all day every day for years. Robitussin, too. Guzzled that stuff. People were worried about me. I didn't give it a second thought. It was helping my allergies. Who knows???....=/

I smoked pot one time back when i was 16, I have no clue what the hype is all about. It made me cough,made me paranoid,and gave me a panic attack.  I think though that it is prolly addiciting to some people. It is a drug.
