Did crank also for a few years and yes sleep is normal, after staying up 4 5 day's in a row you crash hard especially if you have been on a long runs with only a couple hours in between each and as Patty says next will be eating like a horse... Be wary of the head games your mind will play with you as it sobers up...

If it is meth meaning speed...........which i think it is , he is coming down and next he will eat uncontolably.............than you know he is not using .....but more info would be helpful.........patty meth speed addict and 7yrs clean..........Good luck and you are in my prayers

I see people post about insomnia during withdrawals and during recovery...i had the opposite problem...i could sleep 12-14 hours a day if i could have....this went on for 2-3 months..i was literally sleeping too much...it passed tho....hang in there
