You want to drop as fast as you can wothout feeling it too much. It would be great if someone could hold the pills for you and dose you.
Exercise and start the amino acid protocol as soon as you start to drop (actually, start that now since you've already dropped).
Keep in mind that even following my suggestion you are dropping 25% right off the bat -- that's high -- 10% is more typical.
pm me if you'd like. Good Luck
i am tapering now. been using about 5 years too.
every 3 days i lower my dose. i am down to 1/2 a pill (2 quarters). i have had minimal WDs.
for example i was taking two pills for 3 days, then i would take one and a half for 3 days, then one for 3 days, the 3/4 for 3 days, etc.....
i don't know what's up with what % i am dropping...ust going on my gut feeling of what's right. don't psych yourself out. you will not have WD if you tapper.
best of luck!

On the bright side, you are already down to 4 tabs a day. If you stopped ct right now, your wd's would probably be mild. But I respect the fact that you want to taper down to avoid any real wd's. Keep us updated -- even if the taper doesn't go as planned (actually, especialy if the taper doesn't go as planned). If you thow some excercise and supplements into the taper you have now, I doubt you will feel any wd. But you really should start the amino acid protocol now to prevent PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome). Some of the amino acids, combined with exercise, will minimize any cravings you may have and help your sleep once you stop. If you don't make some after care plans, I fear you may start again. Take care of yourself and plan ahead -- you deserve to live a happy, healthy life.
