What do some of ya'll do for constipation..i use to never have it that bad but lately since my surgery it is worst...i take sufax everyday twice a day...And sometimes a laxative...Any suggestions., like i said sorry if it is gross

Hi Hun,
I used to take laxatives, because the constipation got so bad while I was taking pills. I only did it when it was absolutely neccessary, but it helped. Glycerin suppositories work well, too, and are probably even safer.

I can only speak for myself, but I never had much problem with constipation after I had 21" of my colon taken out.  I had that colostomy for a while to, and thats something i would want any one to have to go through.  Having become very much into natural remedies, I have found that eating fruit smoothies made with plain yogurt, and fruit like berries, pineapple, apple, and bananas work to keep the colon in working order.  I aways mix what ever I am using with a cup of 100% fruit juice, be it white grape, blueberry, or apple.  I done that twice a day, once in the morning, and once in the evening.  It worked well, and I hardly ever suffer with any constipation.  Hope that helps, those pills will kill, do it naturally.

OMG me too.  That jsut really hit me as funny tonite.  I really needed that... I am at the END OF SIX and struggling so hard.  I feel terrible.  That really helped.  Day seven starts in about 50 mins here.

No, I tapered down a bit first.  I tapered once, fell off the wagon went I went thru Paxil withdrawals and then tapered again.  It's still not easy, either way.  I did a quicker taper than most, my longest taper was two weeks and I was at 100-150 mgs of hydro a day when I started.  This is a month long endeavor.  Have a good nite.

I suggest your surfak or pericolace up to 3 times a day, I take mine all 3 at bedtime, and by morning if it hasnt worked i will take a single, sometimes double dose of good ole MOM Milk of Magnesia, and STAY HOME!  Other products is magnesium citrate, better if chilled, and my last resort is ducolax suppositories.
