Hi purple and welcome to the community.  Total knee revision is no joke and I hope the knee is doing well. As far as cold turkey w/d I want to reassure you that it definitely does go away and you will go back to normal. As for how long that depends on how long you have been taking it.The longer you use the longer the detox. Its an awful feeling!  Try to think of it as a bad flu and treat the symptoms. Imodium, ibuprofen, hot epsom salt baths, vitamin Bs, C, and minerals. You said its been a week so hopefully you should be feeling better very soon. Did you go see the surgeon for the follow up visit yet? Are you getting physical therapy?

hi there, welcome to our sight.

Are you completely stopping pain meds or just trying to get through til the next script?  If you are stopping, this is definitly the place to be.  You will find some unbelievably caring people here that will help you every step of the way.  I am currently tapering down from fentanyl and oxydodone so I know what you are going through.  It is awful

There are a few ways to help soothe the pain of withdrawals. Can you get to the store or have someone run for you to get:

Immodium-- you will def have stomach issues and some people claim this helps with the wd's as well

Emergen C-- loads you up with vitamins esp. C and helps keep you hydrated because it is mixed with water

calcium / magnesium / Zinc--helps with the restless legs and body aches

melatonin and or valerian--you will need some help with sleep

epsom salts--dump a cup or two of these into a hot bath and sit there.  the magnesium in epsom salt helps soak through the skin and provides relief to the muscles etc (same reason we suggest calcium, magnesium and zinc)

lots of gatorade, soup, crackers, protein shakes, anything to help keep you hydrated,  if you get dehydrated, you will def notice you feel much worse.

This is just a short list, there is ALOT more you can do if you are interested.  Please keep posting and let us know how it is going.
