Hi there, I am 37 years old and you'd think I would know better but last weekend I went on a binge myself...I recently lost my husband to a tragic car accident and since then really went "crazy" I took 32 Extacy pills smoked crack ( which I never do ) smoked weed and had alcohol all in a 36 hour period. I am one lucky lady to say the least I am still alive..Since last weekend I am twitching and jerking and my left side of my face is numb at times and my ear is aching like crazy...I am going for some blood work this week and some test...I don't know what I was thinking I took 20 on that Sat night and 12 on friday I mean really who takes that many pills...I sweat lke a pig...I guess I was running up ad down the road and at 4am when I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror my eyes were about 2 inches from their eye sockets...really what fun is that?? I can't say I won't do it again cause I am addicted to E but I won't be doing it for along time , and if I stay off it then I won't go back....NEVER try this stuff if you have not already...and if you are on it seek help cause one is one too many and a thousand is not enough...
Brian to Sick and Scared ALL you guys

I am new to the drug scene. I am looking to find out more about the drug Excstasy. I would like to know about some of the side effects and some of the long term effects that an individual might have after taking this drug. I would also like to know how long the drug is in your system and can it be detected.
I have been taking extacy for about a 2 year now. Me and my friends have been eating, sniffing and trying to dose it any way we can. 1-5 pills in a 12hr period for like 2-3 at a time! I have quit now, and had no problem quiting! I have noticed short term memory loss but nothing majour. I have been off for 3 months now and plan on staying off for good!! I am 20yrs old, but now I'm scared of what has realy happend to my body and my brain. how long tell more side effects kick in and how do I now to look for them?? Is there help??? Is it to late to get help???
thank you for taking the time to read about my problem, and thank you for helping!!!!! it's not to late JAKE .S.
The tobacco industry is legalized addiction. Someone ( including your government) profits big time on this slavery. However I also realize that smokers ( and most of the people I love are smokers) have constitutional rights and should not be singled out by soap box activists. I do believe that it is well documented that second hand smoke is a health problem of at least some proportion. I have been in houses where people smoke and it's not only disgusting, it's evident by the yellowing on the walls and the film on everything, not to mention the odor, that something harmful is emitted into the air space. Smoking indoors is a risk to non smokers because they are breathing some residual by products of combustion. Even cook stoves have a hood and vent overtop to minimize lingering effects of less harmful cooking steam and smoke. So do fireplaces and wood burning stoves. Frankly, lung and eye irritation are unhappy conditions and why should anyone who chooses not to smoke have to endure those ailments because of those who do choose to smoke? My husband smokes outside even in the winter because I don't want to weeze, suffer eye irritation and headache ( all very real conditions for me) because of his addiciton. I also don't want our home to smell like an ashtray. Banning smoking on city streets may be unfair but littering butts all over seems acceptable to smokers who would otherwise not drop a candy wrapper on the same street. Butts all over streets, parking lots and other public places is a sanitation nuisance. They contain toxic by products, were in someones mouth and are litter. Imagine if people dropped their used tissues and condoms all over our streets. AARGH !!! So why should butts be tolerated? Your lovely, intelligent children still have human bodies and can suffer all sorts of allergies and unpleasant respiratory conditions. They are blessed to not have suffered any of the possible conditions that newborns of smoking moms are often born with. OOPS... better get off my soapbox.. this is the wrong forum for this. Couldn't resist to reply :-)) Sorry to offend. Best wishes, Brighty
You are one lucky individual. My nephew did something very similar one night(crack, beer, extacy and pot) and ended up in a coma for seven weeks. He is still fighting to get back to normal after almost four years. He is 23 years old now but has the mentality of a 10 year old and has to be taken care of like one.
Please get help for your drug use! You can only go backwards if you keep abusing.
Good luck to you!
John
Second hand smoke in the most usual quantities (living with a smoker) has never been proven to cause any kind of medical problems other than eye or lung irritation. This is yet another ploy by a particular political organization to feed your minds with their views. Eventually, people start believing it without question. Think about it. Let's say a smoker inhales on a cigarette. Then he/she exhales. Take what they exhaled, add it to the rising smoke from the end of the cigarette, then spread that over a 1500 square foot house. The spouse, a non-smoker, inhales the air in the house, which contains some of the smoke. If you compare the concentration of smoke from the person that inhaled the cigarette and the person that inhaled the air, the person inhaling the air only inhaled .001% of what the person inhaling the cigarette had. It is miniscule and not worthy of debate or government funding for all these insane slanted studies.
Don't get me wrong. I used to smoke, so did my wife. Smoking can and will kill you. But the same people who finally convinced this of this are now going way too far by doing idiotic things like banning smoking on city streets.
Another interesting point, my wife and I smoked through all three of her pregnancies. All three of our kids are Academically Gifted (AG) students with straight A's. One, the 6 year old, is certified genius scoring 169 on an IQ test. Hummm....maybe that second hand stuff really helped. Think about it. You are being duped with the second hand smoke stories.
Best Regards...
Jeff
thank you very much brian,
i had been so scared because as i sit now i still have a crushing headache and my fear is half of the pain. i hope that everything will return to physical normal for me. but this is the wake up call that i needed. i won't ever forget how scared i am right now. david
Time will heal your symptoms but you really need help to conquer your addiction. Going on such a binge is not only dangerous but is indicative of a serious drug abuse problem.
