Ok here is the typical w/d's for each med:

( Loratab/Hydro's )  = Usually Mucsle and bone soreness, tightness, feel sick, sometimes cold / flu like sympoms, night sweets, a lot of fustration and reltlessness, foggy head, etc..

( Alprazolam/Xanax ) = Extreme anxeity, shakes, racing mind, panic attacks, feel like you can't think, pacing, can't stay still, and can even go the extermes of seizure's or simular like feelings - very dangerous drug to cold turkey!

Hello,

Xanax is a benzo and should never be stopped abruptly. If you have taken xanax very long it can cause seizures or even death. I have taken it for a very long time. I take 1mg 4x's a day.

The other is an opiod. While w/d can be quite horrible at times, it's really not as dangerous.

So xanax is an anti-anxiety med and the opiate is for pain.

I wish you luck if you're trying to kick either, and suggest you stop one at a time.

I would definiltly agree with your reply to the post! I tried Xanax at 1mg twice a day, and after 2 days, I got off it. I was to much of a pontent and fast power punch behind it! It Also has a real shor 1/2 life. I take Valium, which is more milder but...I could not handle the up and down rollacoater effect it had on me.

I noticed it after taking it for only 2 days!

Does it work well with you? Just curious, because I know that Xanax is a benifit to alot of people.

thank all of you for responding ive been on xanax for 12 years due too anexity disorder my doctor had me on 1mg three times a day and over the years i have built up a tolarence too them and began taking more then i should it seemed like i could not get enough of them too make me feel okay don't get me wrong i never had the feeling of a high from them just the feeling of being normal my doctor told me he had never seen anyone with this much anexity
and panic attacks i got up too as high as taking 15 a day and aways running out before my script was due so after awhile of suffering i finally told him what i was doing and that i wanted too stop so he took them and put me on ativan 2mg three times a day and they did not even come close too helping me so i was in and out of the hospital at least 5 times last year and nothing helped so a friend of mind was getting xanax and she was as you say hooking me up and she also was getting lortab and she told me too take a lortab with the xanax and it would work wonders well stupid me did and it was great at first then i began doing this everyday my husband gets lortabs and he began too let me have some of his so now about a year later i was taking up too 3 10's of lortab aday with how ever many xanax i could get a hold of i got saved and have been going too church and i know i can't live right and do this but the withdrawls are so bad i feel like im not going too make it my anexity level is threw the roof i feel like im going too shake out of my skin i wish i never knew what either drug was thanks too all of you who responded words of encouragement helps if anyone else knows what i should do please comment again thank you all this is a wonderful site god bless you all

how long is the worse of these xanax withdrawals after 30 days of binging.  I have not been on htem for years nor do I need them.   I was so stupid, I started abusing them and eating them like candy for the past 30 days,  About 10 mg a day.  How long should I expect to withdraw?

I wish I had seen this post earlier; I would have said to you… you stated you have been saved. Rember, the power of prayer is indescribable and this you "how to".
