I need help finding a free methadone clinic in tampa florida. My uncle is suicidal almost out of drugs freaking out that it is so near. He is currently using apprx 70 mg daily. I have been searching on line to find something and keep going in circles. Is there any govt. programs that you have heard of?  He is currently jobless, broke and desperate. If you have any info please LMK.

Most clinics are govt subsidized, others are privately owned..but none I know of r free...good luck in ur search

There are no free clinics and I know a little about that in fl. It always costs there except for maybe VA clinics for vets. I had the same problem once in fl. many years ago. Sometimes you have to just go with what's delt , which may mean no $ no more methadone and detox. It tough but it can be done with conviction, faith and some meds. Most addicts also freak and and get suicidal when they know they have to go through it. all the best

i dont know if there are free clicics just to get methadone. He might can find a free detox center-he would prob be required to stay in it for 5-7 days and prob be released witha script for clonodine. What is he currently takin?
