methadone drug interactions

Hi every one i went to a mental doctor yesterday, he put me on prozack , i couldnt take that while i was on methadone, it was not to be used with methadone, for anyone thats still on methadone please, look up drug interactions when takeing methadone google med. interactions, there is alot of meds you cant take with methadone including some blood pressure meds. its very important, not just methadone but other scripts, doctors seem not to know a whole lot about drug interactions, your life depends on it, if you cant find anything on line call the pharmist i think i spelled it wrong sorry, but they know more about interactions then the doctors do, thank you John.

its from being scared when I was on methadone theres so much the doctors don't tell you thanks John

Great Post..I always do my Homework now..I found that my benzo that I was taking with my Methadone for all these years was not to be used with the dones..We have many sites on here..I was looking up some med info and found a cross reference guide too..It is all on here A-Z..Even went into the Pet area..Have you checked out all the sites on here???Wow..

thanks methadone has some much interactions, some meds put u into wds and others make your dose to strong, or lower your bp to low, john

Hey John, good point. It's amazing what you find in cross reference. I found a really good drug interaction cross-checker on the AARP site, but there's many sites to choose from. My PC doctor is very careful when prescribing but I cross check anyway when I get home, before I fill a script.
