methadone

So I've been on methadone for 7 years i got down to 12mg and have stopped im on my 5th day and have only had minor diarrhea and a little tired i guess i want to know if its going to get worse

I was on for almost 3 years and total of 8years on different opiates and I checked myself into crisis and they help me detox Im on my 12th day and yeah I have a lot of diarrhea and I do feel a little weak but I here exercising will help that and I slept maybe a total of an hour last night.....i can tolerate it though...and I have no cravings cause of neltrexone

yes, it will get worse. The 2nd week leading in to the 3rd week was the worst for me. Drink carbonated water and Sprite. Also drink water with a tablespoon of baking soda mixed in (but not at the same time as the carbonated liquids.) Eat non acidic foods because what ever you do get down is going to be coming back up. Congrats to kicking the monkey off your back:)

Hi  congrats on getting off the methadone and 5 days clean....as for the symptoms they usually peak in 9 to 12 days and then by 14 days the phyical withdrawal is mostly finished....the real kiker is the ''energy crash'' and the inability to sleep that lasted a couple of months for me  it is different for everybody  stick around and keep posting we will support you threw this  just know everything you go threw is so so worth it to not be chained to the liquid handcuffs.....Gnarly
