methadone wd and drinking, please read

after a week of methadone wd, basically when I could keep anything down, I thought a couple of vodka tonics would get me on my feet again.  Well, they did, but now I have acute  pancreatitis from it.  Doesn't sound like much, a couple or 4 at theMOST.  But i'm not a big girl, I wasnt eating(unless I was drinking) and it was the only relief I had.  But the food I ate, cheese, pasta, was sthe worst kind for any pancreatic function deficiency.  Who knew.    I truly don't think I would have kept off methadone or whatever if I didn't have that relief, but PLEASE TRY TO FIND A DIFFERENT WAY.  I'll find out in the AM the results of the blood, but I am restricted to soup broth and two crackers at mealtime and as much pedialyte/water as I can take.  As if I haven't lost enough weight!  Good doc, and I paid 40 plus bloodwork(ouch) but it's about what I spent on drugs daily 3 months ago.  There's other ways, suboxone, buprinex, slow taper.  it's my birthday tomorrow, and it's fine because I want to feel better,  Even if it means broth and a cracker and some water.  Peace.

Well first off happy birthday and  I am really sorry for all the misery your going through I know that no matter what you have done in your life you don't derserve all this.......
