methadone wds still!

Hi all!

well, this is day 18...maybe 19, of no methadone for me and i still have to take about 2-3mgs of suboxone every 24-36 hours or i start getting sick.  can anyone tell me if this is still the methadone or am i just addicted to the Sub at this point?  i have only about 6mgs of Sub left (i could always get more from my friend but don't wanna!) and i am just wondering what the deal is.  am i prolonging the whole WDs by taking this small amount of Sub?  should i just try to cut it out completely?  i'd appreciate any input!

methadone can take up to a month to clear ur system as it is stored many places..even ur bones..it depends on how much and how long u used...if u r staying at 2-3 mg of sub for that amount of time and even skipping days..i would guess/and only guess/it is still the methadone..it is a bear...try and take the least sub u can to stay comfoy to avoid addiction to it...i think u r safe right now as far as su goes..but if u go one time 36 hours and feel ok...jump off...i would not do the sub any longer than a mont///5 weeks tops with methadone..u should be prous as u r controlling ur sub dose very well..sub is actually a stronger narcotic than sub...but can be addicting long term especially at high doses like over 8 mg a day...keep posting and stay postive///u will be fine

I had a friend that went on sub to get off methadone, but because suboxone isn't as strong as methadone she had to take the max dose of sub to counteract the methadone which i believe is somewhere around 32mg..(not positive) so ,you are taking a really small amount of sub compared to the  methadone. I am sure that the sub you are taking though is preventing full w/d..as for prolonging it?? In my opinion i believe that it is prolonging it. But hopefully the methadone is completely out of your system by now and the w/ds won't be super bad..
