Do you plan on tapering at all? Even though you have only been taking it twice a week, that is a pretty hefty dose. I don't really have any experience with methadone except from what I have read so I don't have the knowledge to answer your question but there are a couple of members that do. Gnarly1 and KC both know a great deal about methadone. They have both tapered off and are clean from methadone and everything else. I'm sure they will be along during the day to help you out. If they don't post I will send them a message letting them know about your question.
It can be kinda slow here at night. You will get some responses soon.

Hi Kevin,

150mg is far too high a dose to jump off from.

Are you getting your methadone from a doctor or clinic?

If so, they will be able to help you draw up a practical tapering scedule.

Good luck

Hi kevin, your dose is unusual, r u getting it from a dr. or buying it from the street im only asking because usually methadone is a daily regimen. i was on a dose of 250mgs daily for 12 years and im not trying to scare u, but i would rather have 10 dope habits then one methadone habit. i tapered 2mgs a wk for over 2years when i got down to about 60mgs is when the pain really got bad, i couldnt stand going down 2 mgs a wk anymore so i started going down 10mgs a wk. i went from 60 to nothing in 5 wks my last dose was 33 days ago and im still rockin my skin crawls, my legs agg but the only thing that gives me comfort is that i know its not going to last forever methadone is an evil drug that seems to stay in your system forever ive heard of people who had withdrawal symptoms for over 6 months. so my advice to u is go as slow as u possibly can 1mg 2 tops a wk. it ***** having those liquid handcuffs on. good luck 2 u.
