Help, I quit methadone cold turkey at 80mg 10 days ago and im still in hell. I tried suboxone after 2 days and that took me to the 7th level of hell for 24 hrs. I didn't think humans could endure that kind of pain. Does anyone know how much longer this should last. Im going out of my mind but trying to stay strong. Thanks.

Kim I really pulling for you! Again, I'm horrified that a clinic or doctor put you on methadone for vicodin. Putting gasoline on a fire ot killing a fly with a cannon ball. The clinic system is broke. Clinics get you more hooked and then to make matters worse you are around real criminals. I know, I was one off and on clinics for 25 years. It may help to take some valium unless you have a benzo problem and clonidine, bentyl for cramps and imodium. "Methadone, There's no future in it" all the best.

Today is day seven for me after taking methodone for a little over a year,I was on 25mg. per day. I quit cold turkey and actually   the first couple   of days were not that bad,but today is horrible. My stomach is in knots,I can't sleep,Ihave no energy. I wish so much I would have been strong enough a year ago and detoxed off the vicodin. I would never suggest anyone resort to taking methodone to combat an opiate addiction all you do is switch one addiction for another. The clinic I went to couldn't answer the first question about the drug and its effects,nor do they warn you of the damage it can do to your body. Those clinics are like legalized drug dealers and the only thing the people at my clinic were concerned about was that you had your 95 dollars every Monday. I could use some insight as to why after seven days my symptoms seem worse? Also if anyone has any homeremedies to help combat the withdrawl? Desperately looking for answers?????????

i was on methodone for almost 5 years my highest dose was 120mgs....iv detoxed cold turkey twice and the withdrawals are a SOLID 30 of HELLt and even after the 30 days your not gona sleep rite or even feell "normal" for another 30 to 60 days. thi is cuz methodone seeps into your muscles and bones and bond so tightly to the opiate receptors in your brain. methodone in my opinion and expirience is the king of all withdrawls...

tell me you are not considering going cold turkey at 120mg a day! Can't u taper down first, or do you need to stop for a reason.
