methadone withdrawl

my daughter was on 42 mg methadone she quit 2 weeks ago she has such body aches soaks in tub alot but seems so sick n sweats i am afraid she is going to give in what can she do  or get to help her through this please if you have any suggestions of things u know have worked let me know desperate mom

If she was getting the methadone legally, contact her professional. If not, call somebody in a local Narcotics Anonymous for help. Good luck to you

hi did your daughter taper off or just jump from 42mg if she just jumped she is going to be sick for the rest of the month ands probably wont be herself for 90 days thats how long it took me to come around methadone is a monster to kick under the best cercomstances you can jump at higher doses but you pay ffor it with tuff withdrawals a good jumping pint is in the single digits anything above that and toyr in for a ruff road stop by walmart and pick upa 3 in 1 vitamin calcium/magnezum/zinc take 4 in the morning and 4 with dinner in a few days this should ez the withdrawals a bit at least make them bearable other then thast the hot baths will help exercise as hard as it may seam is ecential so start waking around the block and build up from there it really dose help other then that thers not much you can do to feel better but the listed stuff will help a lot keep posting for support good luck and God bless........Gnarly

did your daughter choose to detox on her own? how long was she on methadone?  42 mgs is a pretty high dose to detox from? she is going to be physically sick for weeks.
