for about a month now i have been dabbling cocaine. at first i liked the "energy" yet calm it gave me, and i particulary liked the weight loss...i have been doing it more often, more amounts and pretty much through out the entire day. at work, at home...lately i have very paranoid, lonely thoughts. granted my husband left me (before i got into this) and my job has been extremely demanding and i had been feeling kind of lost and depressed to begin with, and i know the effects of the drugs on my brain are not helping, but does coke give you TRULY out of control paranoia?? i really feel like, and i dont mean this to sound dramatic, that everyone at work hates me, and is out to get me fired, and is critiqueing everything i do. eventhough i bust my butt (drugs or not) and get everything done, its still not good enough...just wondering, if anyone has been there done that, what the true side effect feelings from all of this is...thanks.

I did my share of coke during my college days at UNLV. Yes, the weight loss is awesome...until you begin to look anorexic. Coke WILL definatley make you paranoid. Please stop NOW before you do lose your job and your life spirals out of control. Stay on this forum for support. Good luck to you.

I did coke pretty consistently for about a year. I would do it at my school lunch break, then after school, all night/sometimes day on the weekends, and so on. It made me extremely paranoid. There was one night, that I will always remember-I had started doing it at 11:15am and continued until about 1am in the morning. It was about 1am when my friend was coming to pick me up. I saw the car coming but I was so paranoid that I convinced myself it was a cop who knew about my habit and was coming to arrest me. My paranoia reached an all time high when I actually ran away from my friend ("the cop"). So yes, i'd definitly say coke causes paranoia. On top of this, it ripped apart my stomach. After I stopped the coke, I continued to have really bad stomach pains and all sorts of problems for about six months after. I also had the flu on and off several times in that 6month period. I'd say coke is really hard on your body especially because you never know what is in it.

I guess what you have to ask yourself is, before you started using coke did you feel as if your co-workers were out to get you fired? Because if not, then I would conclude that your paranoia is a result of the cocaine use.

Welcome to the forum. Coke will make you paranoid, especially when coming down. The good news is you have only used a month, but as you can see, this drug can grab you quick. I did loads of coke for 5 years and this drug WILL destroy you. Trust me when I say you are not prepared for what lies ahead and you can stop now and not have to find out. This drug will eat away at your nose, enlarge your heart, and damage your nervous system. The cravings will get 10x worse and you will spend all your money and be miserable. Please please stick around for support and stop using this drug now. Hope you come back on and good luck
