migraines from tapering?

I'm on day 4 of tapering vicodin...down to 2/day.  I've had 2 migraines this week, and I usually one have 2 migraines a year!  Do any of you think there is a connection?
Also got the neurotin today from the pain dr.  Actually the pharm. said that will help migraines...funny how things work out.  The pharm also mentioned weight gain on the neurotin, but, if it helps the pain, I"ll deal with the weight later.

unfortunately there was no way i could taper.  just had to gobble gobble like a turkey and quit cold turkey.  I never get headaches.  and i do mean NEVER.  I got them after quitting the vicodins, though. but only for about 2 days.  ibuprofin worked for me, but i know that migraines probably won't be touched by that.  I'm guessing that they will go away rather quickly in your situation. I hope i'm right.  good luck 2 u.
