for me, 2 a day was enough to cause a constant headache. if you're taking it this many days a week, you should talk with your doc about it. it will eventually do more harm than good.

Do you have a headache every day, five days a week?  Are you taking butalbital to prevent a headache or "just in case" you get one?  How long have you been taking it?

If you take it and there's no good reason other than you want to,then it's too much.

Good luck!

Never mind I know what it is its fioricet (spelling?)  I used to take that for my headaches but it wasn't effective.  Have you tried a preventative medication like Topamax?  Might be worth asking your Doctor about.  I have that many headaches to.  I feel your pain.  Hang in there.

Basically if you are taking it as precribed, you are not practacing addictive tendencies, as long as you are taking it for the right reasons. If you are having 2 headaches a day, 5 days a week, then you are prescribed a medication to treat that. As you are probably arware, this drug has high addictive properties to it, so it is good to be aware of your reasonings for taking the drug. Also, if you are having headaches this frequently it might be a good idea to talk to your doctor about a better way to control your symptoms, or also performing additional test to ensure there's not something else going on. Good luck and best wishes!
