need advice

Hi, I'm proud to say that I'm 21 days clean. I'm back to myself but I still get some soft stool but I guess it will go away in time. Well I've been wanting a tummy tuck for the past 5 years and I finally save the money for it .Now my question is what would I do about pain I just can't take narcotics and be sure that I would be fine. This is something that I always wanted to do. Did I screw myself because I was addicted to pain medication? and now I can't risk going through the tummy tuck because it's that painful that I might need something.Has anyone ever had to go through something like this? If yes, please comment back I would really like to hear your feed back.

People have had to have surgery after getting clean. There are lots of medicines out there that are not narcotic that might work if given a chance. If not talk to your doctor and he might have some ideas on what you should do. Some have had to use pain meds and had someone else control them. Probably would go through withdraws again that is sad. I have heard of some that used the pain med only in the hospital and went home to use non narcotic meds. I don't think I would be doing it to soon, the habit would be back in a flash I would assume. For me it is non narcotic unless it's something I cannot stand. I would be up front and honest with any doctor before surgery if it was me. I am sure planning on it, I don't ever planned on going through all the bad **** again. Good Luck and a tummy tuck is something I sure would like to be able to afford. No pain med best decision!

congrats on bing sober for 21 days I myself have been clean well going on a year now and I know for me before 2 days was a long time so 21 is amazing. 2nd I want to tell you my opinion I think if this is something you really really want you should do your research and find out all the info you need. I think if you do decide to go through with this you should be completely honest with your doctor so that you ae not tempted to get back on that path. Mabey he can give you something that is not quit as strong and not addictive if he has to give you narcotics to get you through the pain mabey he can also subscribe some type of opient blocker like suboxone so that it helps with the pain but you are not able to get high off the meds. Please keep me informed and let me know how you are doing I think you sound smart and you wouldnt be asking if you didint want to stay clean and that in itself is the main part of keeping clean...... Thanks, angel...
