I had a problem with both. When I stopped the xanax I had a siezure a few days later. My main problem was that I got depressed when I stopped the xanax and drank more. I had other troubles in my life at that time too.

Is your program one where you are being monitored by a health professional?

You have 2 bad problems to kick at one time. If I can do it and I did I'm sure you will too.

Keep me posted on your progress.

Hello there....

One thing you need to consider is how bad your alcohol problem is.  If it is severe then you may want to tackle one of these addictions at a time.  I would focus on the alcohol first and make sure that you are clear of that demon.  Like I said, I don't know your level of alcoholism or how much you drink but WD's from alcohol can be very dangerous.  If you are a light to moderate drinker you may not have as much to worry about but nevertheless..... you need to be careful.

I'd slay one of these demons and then when you are victorious or on your way to being victorious go after the other one.  Of course, this is just my opinion.  :)

Take care and keep us up to speed ok!  We're all here for ya!  Keep your chin up!

AS always trout has a good point. My drinking and xanax problem was  about as bad as it gets. I was also was married to a man that was giving me other drugs without my knowledge that to this day I still don't know what they were.

Easy does it.
